Ingredients:
1½ c gluten flour
¼ c wholemeal flour
¼ c minute tapioca flour
1 T Massel Chicken Style Powder
2 t garlic powder
2 T soy sauce
1 1/3 c water
Method:
- In a medium bowl, mix all the dry ingredients.
- Add water and soy sauce. Quickly mix
together by hand.
- Knead a little. Divide dough into
2 pieces. Shape each in a roll 6 cm in
diameter.
- Slice into 1 cm thick pieces with a sharp
knife. Flatten a little with a spoon.
- Cook in the broth. (see below)
BROTH FOR GLUTEN STEAK
Ingredients:
3 litres water
3 T tomato paste
1 T Chicken Style powder
2 T soy sauce
2 t garlic powder
1 medium onion, diced
1 t Caro beverage*
Method:
- Put all the ingredients into a large saucepan.
Bring to the boil.
- Add the gluten steaks to this broth.
- Cook in low heat till the steaks are tender.
*Caro is a coffee substitute, available in the
health food section of the supermarket.
