Sausage Cabbachara

 

Sausage Cabbagechara

  • Serves: 4

 

 

Ingredients:

1 pkt Sanitarium Vegie Delight Hot Dogs, cut into 1 cm pieces
½ large cabbage, chopped roughly
¼ t cumin
6 cloves garlic, chopped
½ t coriander
1 large onion, chopped
½ t ginger
1½ c potatoes, chopped
½ t turmeric
2 T parsley, chopped
½ t Hungarian sweet paprika
2 T cold pressed olive oil
4 bay leaves
3 c water ½ t salt
2 t vegetables stock powder
a dash of cayenne pepper

 

Method:

  1. In a large frypan with lid, heat oil. 
  2. Fry onion and garlic for 2 mins, stirring continually.

  3. Add the sausage pieces and dry ingredients (all the flavourings except the bay leaves).
  4. Fry for a few seconds.

  5. Immediately add the water while stirring. 
  6. Bring to the boil.  Lower heat to half. 
  7. Add all the vegetables and bay leaves.

  8. Put the lid on and cook till the vegetables are tender.

  9. Serve with fresh bread or toast
